Community life and fellowship are very important to us here at Valley of Blessing. We value being able to celebrate life events together and offer support and guidance to each other along the way. Here are a few of the life events we enjoy as a community:
Biblical Feasts
Bar/Bat Mitzvahs
Baby Presentation
Weddings
Funerals and Memorials
We celebrate the Feasts of the Lord and worship on the Sabbath (Leviticus 23). Our worship style is Hebraic in nature incorporating music and dance.
A Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah is a ceremony that takes place when a young man or young woman reaches the age of 12 or 13.
We present our babies at the age of 80 days if is a girl and at 40 days if is a boy.
We perform weddings in a Hebraic way including a ketubah (marriage contract), a wedding canopy (chuppah), and the breaking of a glass.
The purpose of a funeral/memorial service is to honor to the memory of the departed and to
console the mourners. Tradition insists on prompt burial as a matter of respect for the dead.
